Criticism can be helpful. But what if someone tells you your painting isn’t lifelike or true to nature? Don’t take it to heart. Remember: You are the artist, you get to decide what – and how – you paint. Feel free to paint things the things that capture you and leave out the things that don’t. And besides, it’s impossible to copy nature exactly.
