But the delightful Llangynog farm-house is an ideal base from which to explore all of Mid and North Wales anyway, including Lakes Bala and Vyrnwy, the towns of Oswestry, Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Llangollen and the historic city of Chester, which are all worth a visit. Or go take a walk over the mountain to visit the stunning Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, the tallest in Wales. It is only a 3 mile walk as the crow flies, or 10 miles by road.
