Modern zoom cameras are both a blessing and a curse. We don’t need to move in, the camera does it for us – and we no longer feel the need to try different perspectives. At the same time, tele mode reduces the maximal incidence of light, and often pictures turn out looking blurred or motives are softened. And then there’s our tendency to intuitively guess the distance between the photographer and the motive when the photo was taken using a strong telephoto lens.

There’s an easy solution: get closer! You get the image you want, and viewers will feel how close you were.
