The course is based on the gathering of resources through drawing, colour observation and photographs on site, followed by the building up of finishes paintings in the studio. Lynda's teaching emphasizes the importance of a sound understanding of the use of tone, scale composition and colour to create exciting and dynamic work. This offers the best opportunity to portray the beautiful local environment of Dedham whatever the weather and in either watercolour or acrylics.
Accommodation at Dedham Hall:
This characterful country hotel is open to both participating artists and visiting residents and set within the tranquil setting of Essex countryside. All bedrooms have en-suite bath and shower rooms as well as private access to the residents lounge, dining room and bar. This 15th Century adjoining cottage overlooks the picturesque grounds assuring guests a peaceful visit. (But if you do sometimes need to keep in touch with the 21st Century, there is free wifi in all the public rooms).
