Felix Scheinberger

Professor Felix Scheinberger is also known as the current 'pope of the sketchbook'. Today, he is one of the most popular and productive German sketchers and has illustrated more than 50 books. Within the last years he has inspired the drawing and sketching scene first and foremost with his best seller 'Urban Watercolor Sketching: A Guide to Drawing, Painting, and Storytelling in Color'. With ease and congeniality he has triggered a swell of exicitement for urban sketching and watercolor sketching.
Prof. Felix Scheinberger's illustrations are not only characterized by his subtle art of drawing, but do also impress with his unique caricatural style.

As an artist he likes to provoke with his art, especially within his little sketches and caricatures. Moreover, he loves to make use of irony and whenever he is sketching his surroundings he keeps a certain ironic distance. Nevertheless, while drawing, he always stays true to himself.
Due to the fact that he has a lot of fun while teaching, he has been appointed professor. Sketchbooking is for him not only love and passion, but much more an extension of view, that leads away from the digital world and focusses more on a description of inner thoughts and experiences.
Making this conception evident to learners who start to draw and to sketch is Felix Scheinberger's main ambition.
